A BIG and BUSY month ahead!

Welcome back! I hope you enjoyed your prelude to summer. (I was excited to see a couple of you used prelude as your root example for pre on the roots test!!!) All grades are up to date in NetClassroom. Yes, I spent time grading over the break.  You're welcome.

ANYWAY...this week we dive into creative writing and the elements of a short story. On Friday will be the last roots test. It is a cumulative test of the definitions only. Roots will NOT be on the final exam. Please continue with Membean. Your final vocabulary assessment will be on May 17. I have changed Membean so that no one will get new words between now and May 17, but regular practice is required. You know the drill - 45 minutes by Sunday night! Your novel is due May 13. That's it for now. I am looking forward to seeing you all rested and ready to go tomorrow.

Monday, April 29: Watch Origin Story, learn about Verses on the Green, you will receive the final exam study guide and calendar.
Day 2 April 30/May 1: Read "The Monkey's Paw".
Day 3 May 2: "A Sound of Thunder" and figurative language.
Friday May 3: B Schedule due to Kabbalat Shabbat as we wish our 8th graders N'siah Tovah.
