Week of 11/14

Thank you to all of you for an outstanding day of thoughtful reflection last Friday. There has never been a more important time for us to be aware of how we perceive others and how we speak to and about them. This week, we get back to grammar, prepare for interviews for the newspaper article, and celebrate the Fine Arts on Friday.

As you read your mystery/suspense novel, keep track of the major characters, the plot of the story, and any clues you identify along the way. You won't really know if you have found a clue until you get to the end of the book. Some may be those elusive red herrings!

Day 1: Adverbs

Day 2: Degrees of adverbs and adjectives, complete survey

Day 3: Membean Test, Interview skills, professionalism, inverted funnel structure, punctuating quotes

Day 4: Fine Arts Day (1/2 day celebrating the visual and performing arts)

HOMEWORK THIS WEEK:

Journal entry #8 is up on Google Classroom. It is due Friday by 5pm as usual.
45 minutes of Membean due Sunday evening.
Read your choice novel. You should be finished with it by December 5.
