Re-turning and seasons turning...

I keep hearing Mr. O'Dell's voice in my head explaining about re-turning this time of year, as in how we turn again to that which makes us whole. At the same time, today brought enough of a change in temperature for us to feel that colder weather is on the way. Usually, we are warm until Thanksgiving-ish, here in the deep South, but the juxtaposition of teshuvah with fall's approach makes for thoughtful reflection.

This week, we observe Sukkot, and for those of you who do sleep in a sukkah, I wish for mild and dry nights. Imagine how difficult it must have been for the Israelites when it rained!

Day 1: Review for Noun Test, you will receive the next book, The Giver.
Day 2: "A" Day Noun Unit Test
Day 3: "A" Day Group rotations related to ideas presented in The Giver. We will meet in the media center.
NO SCHOOL ON THURSDAY - SUKKOT
Day 4: Ms. Garrison will be coming in to help you set up your digital portfolios (which she will also explain).
