Back to block days!

Remember that you have a roots test (units 1-9) and a Membean test in class on Monday.On Thursday of this week, we will have the opportunity to fulfill the mitzvah of

Torah puts great emphasis on the importance of welcoming people into your home, making sure they feel comfortable, and giving them your full attention–it’s a mitzvah called hachnasat orchim (hospitality to guests). According to the teachings of the Talmud, we are required to:

• Greet guests at the door and escort them inside.
• Make an effort to remain cheerful during the visit.
• Offer food and drink.
• Ask our guests questions about their interests and activities.
• Escort them to the door when they leave.

Wednesday Block 3: Short story choice reading (info in class) and preparations for Thursday
Thursday: 6th grade from Queen of Angels visits us for interfaith learning
Friday: Types of phrases, literary elements in your choice novel

HOMEWORK: Read your novel, continue with Membean (45 minutes due Sunday), beginning Tuesday start learning roots unit 10, and give this poetry generator a try:
