This week we continue our study of literary elements by looking at the concepts of types and causes of conflict. Please make sure you are keeping on track with your reading according to the pacing chart, found under the CLASS DOCUMENTS tab, on the classroom bulletin board, and in the hallway. We will also refresh our study of verbs, continuing with linking verbs and irregular past participles.
IN CLASS:
Day 1 - finish the warm-up for Peak and check answers
Day 2 - types of conflict in literature, if time, review of verb concepts we covered in December
Day 3 - Verb unit (contractions), linking verbs, if time, past participles
Day 4 - causes of conflict (this is NOT the same as TYPES of conflict)
HOMEWORK:
- MEMBEAN - 45 minutes by 1/20 at midnight
- Begin learning unit 7 root words
- Read Peak according to the pacing chart
- journal entry on Google Classroom (Free write! Yay!) due 1/22.
